Job summary

A leading aerospace company in Quebec is seeking a Professional Senior Engineer to lead mechanical systems integration for aircraft seats. The ideal candidate will have a degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering, with 8-10 years of experience in aircraft interior completion. Proficiency in CATIA V5 and communication skills in English and French are essential. Qualifications

  • 8 to 10 years of relevant experience in aircraft interior completion.
  • Experience in seat design or integration for Global and Challenger platforms.
  • Written and spoken proficiency in both English and French.

What You’ll Be Doing:

As a key member of our team, you will:

  • Support Request for Change (RFC) processes: present RFCs to the Change Board, coordinate with stakeholders, and implement corrective actions (documents, drawings, specifications, BOMs, etc.).
  • Contribute to the development of seat upholstery and mechanical systems.
  • Translate customer requests into feasible and realistic engineering solutions.
  • Collaborate daily with internal teams (Operations, Detailed Engineering, Project, Program, Technical Support) and external suppliers.
  • Coordinate stakeholders, gain alignment, and drive results.
  • Support Program Change Requests (PCRs): lead technical integration meetings, assess required effort, and ensure technical proposals meet requirements.
  • Liaise directly with suppliers and ensure the delivery of high-quality technical documentation that meets Bombardier standards.
  • Participate in design reviews and demonstrate a solid understanding of regulatory and industry requirements.
  • Ensure mechanical system components meet technical and certification requirements.
What We’re Looking For:

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A College or University mechanical or aerospace engineering degree or equivalent with a minimum of eight (8) to ten (10) years of relevant experience.
  • Experience in business aircraft interior completion, preferably in seat design or integration for Global and Challenger platforms.
  • Proficiency with CATIA V5, ENOVIA, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • A strong understanding of product structures and relational modeling.
  • Excellent organizational skills, accountability, and a proven ability to meet commitments.
  • The ability to understand complex engineering issues and apply creative problem-solving.
  • A motivated, team-oriented mindset, capable of working under pressure with minimal supervision.
  • Strong communication skills, including written and spoken proficiency in both English and French.
