POSITION OVERVIEW

Under the direction of the Manufacturing Manager, the position performs a variety of production supervisory and leadership functions. The incumbent of this role will be responsible for ensuring smooth daily production through efficient workflows and guidance of production staff.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Completion of a College diploma, or equivalent experience.
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Responsible for the oversight of the production Team Leads (Cutting, Cuffing/Seaming, Quality & Parts and Shipping).
  • Coordinate the workflow of all stations and ensure work orders are completed and recorded in an efficient manner.
  • Responsible for maintaining and updating production order status board.
  • Manages the workforce for overtime requirements, and labour allocations to support customer requirements.
  • Work with the Warehouse Team Lead to rectify any shipping issues and communicate with the Manufacturing Manager accordingly.
  • Responsible for monitoring operators’ work order accuracy, coaching and reporting on performance and ensuring they are correct daily. While acting as a key participant in regular material and labor variance reviews.
  • Manages the production schedule and work order flow from creation to shipment.
  • Responsible for reviewing all work orders to ensure that material and labour have been posted accurately, prior to closure of work orders daily.
  • Responsible for maintaining Health and Safety Records, Employee Training Records, Contractor Management Equipment Records.
  • Health and safety investigations and work jointly with Human Resources on safe return to work programs.
  • Reporting plant efficiency and identifies opportunities and makes suggestions for improvement.
  • Review and submit production related purchasing needs to Manufacturing Manager / Manufacturing Analyst (i.e., PPE, Production tools, etc.).
  • Responsible for reporting equipment issues to maintenance and Manufacturing Manager.
  • Submit the weekly timesheet each Monday to human resources and answer any missed punches or absences daily.
  • Participate in providing feedback to the Manufacturing Manager on individual production performance, for onboarding and annual reviews and cross training.
  • Knowledge of company and department policies, procedures, and standards. Understand and abide by the Albarrie Code of Conduct and maintain a positive working relationship with team members and management in a respectful and open team environment.
