Trouw Nutrition Landmark is looking for "Production Operator", reporting to the Plant Manager, the Production Operator is responsible for the day-to-day activities as part of the Production team day-to-day activities as part of the Production team. The Production Operator is expected to conduct all matters in a manner consistent with the company’s Corporate Values of Innovation, Caring, Capable, and Collaboration.
Responsibilities:
Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
Works with machines and computer systems to produce animal feed.
Timely processing and on-time delivery of orders that meets or exceeds customer expectations
Responsible for meeting or exceeding production targets
Ensure the correct formulation used
Follow housekeeping standards
Plan and follow sequencing guidelines
Constant quality awareness / moisture testing
Implement continuous improvement plan
Adheres to the safety and food safety requirements per Trouw Nutrition protocols
Must adhere to all Regulatory Requirements
Proper Log documentation for Food Safety Requirements
Skills and Expertise
Qualifications:
Grade 12 education or equivalent
Experience working in a Feed Mill or manufacturing environment preferred
Willingness to be coached and learn processes
Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
Basic computer skills/machinery operation
Some machinery maintenance skills required
Working at heights
Numeracy and accuracy
Willing to train the right candidate
Expectation from the Role:
Permanent, full-time job, shift work 6 am - 2 pm & 2 pm -10 pm. Over-time required from time to time.
Ability & willingness to work shifts and overtime
Ability to lift 25 kgs regularly
Demonstrated leadership capabilities and excellent communication skills
Ability to focus on details within a fast-paced environment
Team player and coachable
Exposure to the elements, noise and dust, and working at heights
