We are currently seeking a Production Accountant to join our team. At ARC, our strong track record of success has been built on our core belief that outstanding people, combined with a great corporate culture creates a winning environment. To further enhance our focus on technical expertise and the development of our business, we are seeking an innovative, resourceful, and proactive intermediate Production Accountant. This position will report directly to the Supervisor, Production Accounting.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Gather and analyze production information and calculate and record revenues, royalties and fees
  • Load well test, inventories, volumetric and sales information into the production accounting system
  • Report volumetric and product split information to regulators, partners and purchasers
  • Reconcile and clear accounts payable and receivable
  • Update the production accounting system for all changes in production factors, flow of product, fuel estimates, gas analysis, freehold and overriding royalties, and working interest owner changes
  • Ensure that all Joint Interest and 3rd party revenues and expenses are properly recorded
  • Regularly review property reports to ensure recognition of production, revenue, royalties and fees
  • Maintain complete, accessible and auditable monthly production and permanent files
  • Meet all internal reporting and regulatory deadlines and record applicable processing and trucking charges
  • Establish and maintain communication with field, regulators, and partners
  • Contribute to special projects and perform other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
  • A minimum of three years of experience in Production Accounting, ideally with knowledge of northern Alberta production
  • CAPPA designation is preferred, and any post-secondary accounting or finance related education would be an asset
  • Strong organizational skills and an attention to detail
  • Qbyte Financial and Metrix experience would be an asset
  • Must have exceptional communication skills and the ability to work in a team-oriented work environment
