About The Role – 34663 - Product Marketing Specialist (Maple Ridge BC)

We are excited to announce an opportunity at Orica for a Product Marketing Specialist within our Digital Solutions division. The Product Marketing Specialist plays a pivotal role at the intersection of product, commercial, and marketing functions. This role is responsible for transforming complex technical features into compelling, customer-centric value propositions and executing go-to-market strategies that drive adoption, differentiation, and growth across global markets.

Working across a portfolio of advanced technologies from the Orica Digital Solutions Geosolutions business, the Specialist will shape how our products are positioned and communicated to mining and civil/infrastructure sectors. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong technical acumen and the ability to balance high-level planning with hands-on execution.

What you will be doing
  • Strategic Product Marketing
  • Develop and execute product marketing strategies aligned with product roadmaps and business goals.
  • Conduct market assessments to understand market segmentation, commercial potential, positioning, buyer personas, and customer value propositions.
  • Go-to-Market Leadership
  • Lead go-to-market planning and execution for new hardware and software product launches and feature releases.
  • Ensure readiness across sales, support, and marketing teams at launch.
  • Collaborate with product managers to align messaging with product capabilities and roadmap.
  • Messaging & Positioning
  • Translate complex technical features into clear, differentiated messaging tailored to target audiences.
  • Develop positioning frameworks that articulate how we win in each market segment.
  • Ensure messaging consistency across all channels and touchpoints, aligned with customer value propositions.
  • Support the development and implementation of pricing strategies.
  • Market & Competitive Intelligence
  • Act as an internal expert on market dynamics, and competitor strategies.
  • Be an expert on our buyers, who they are, how they buy and their key buying criteria
  • Stakeholder Engagement
  • Serve as a key connector between Product, Marketing and Sales teams.
  • Represent product marketing in senior forums, aligning stakeholders on strategy and priorities.

  • Meeting revenue forecasts and ROI goals

  • Quality of advice provided, including ease of use by internal customers
  • Successfully deliver the goals and projects defined in the Marketing and Communications Project Plan and Technology Plan, on time, to scope and on budget

  • Works well coordinating a broad range of internal stakeholders across GP exec team, regional sales and ops, product development and engineering teams

Compensation

• Salary Range $84,000 - $110,000 CAD

• Eligible for annual short-term incentive plan

(Salary to be determined by the applicant’s experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.)
