PRODUCE SR. Team Lead

Location: Oxford Corner, 271 Cook St, Victoria, BC V8V 3X4

Role

We are currently seeking a Produce Sr. Team Lead to join our team. As a Produce Sr. Team Lead, you will assist the Produce Operations Manager leading a sales-driven team who takes customer service, quality, and presentation to heart. Our customer-facing produce department is an upbeat work environment where we take great pride in elevating food appreciation and values. You are a resourceful, detail-oriented, self-motivated leader eager to contribute to a culture that is all-inclusive, innovative, and focused on quality improvement.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in managing, motivating, training, mentoring, and developing staff according to company policies and procedures.
  • Merchandise produce so that it is organized and visually appealing to maximize sales and uphold overall store appearance.
  • Control product rotation with produce floor stock, manage floor displays to ensure limited product loss, execute in-store specials when necessary.
  • Manage inventory levels to limit product loss.
  • Provide exceptional customer service in all situations, including returns and complaints.
  • Maintain store and display signage to set standards.
  • Monitor sales floor for loss-prevention and store security purposes.
  • Be a role model and inspire behaviour consistent with our values.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to all Team Members, customers, and vendors.

What You Bring To The Table
  • At least two years of retail supervisory experience in a produce environment.
  • A passion for providing superior customer service and sharing produce knowledge.
  • A positive attitude and the desire to lead and motivate a team.
  • The physical ability to stand for long periods of time and lift 25-50lbs repeatedly.
  • The ability to multi-task and maintain organization in a fast-paced environment.
  • The availability to work a variety of shifts including evenings and at least one weekend day.
