A cleantech startup in Calgary is seeking a Process Engineer to develop and optimize their electrochemical cement decarbonization process. The role involves performing process simulations, leading equipment selection, and ensuring compliance with regulations. Candidates should have a Master's degree in Chemical Engineering, 4+ years of relevant experience, and knowledge of electrochemical systems. This position offers competitive compensation, unlimited vacation, and the opportunity to contribute to global climate solutions.
CURA is a Canadian cleantech startup transforming the cement industry through electrochemical decarbonization. Cement is responsible for 8% of global CO₂ emissions, and we’re building breakthrough technology to eliminate that footprint. Based in Alberta’s growing innovation ecosystem, we’re scaling hardtech solutions that matter — for industry, for communities, and for the planet.
We are seeking a Process Engineer to join our Calgary team and help drive the development, optimization, and scale-up of CURA’s electrochemical cement decarbonization process. This role is responsible for performing process simulations and design, and the sizing and selection of equipment for electrochemical cement production modules.
In addition to technical responsibilities, the Process Engineer will serve as a key contact point for contract engineering firms, ensuring their work is aligned with CURA’s vision, standards, and long-term strategy.
