Job description

Roska DBO Inc. is currently seeking a Process Engineer (P.Eng.) to work out of our customer’s downtown Calgary office. The Process Engineer is responsible for detailed design development of projects and providing engineering support throughout all project phases, including procurement, fabrication, construction, installation, commissioning, start-up, and final handover. This is a 12–18 month minimum term role, (Monday–Friday, 8 hours/day).

Key Experience
  • Minimum 10 years of Process Engineering experience
  • Experience with large industrial water pumping systems
  • Experience with pump and pipe sizing and specification
  • Experience with hydraulic calculations and transient analysis
  • Ideally, experience with steam and heat exchanger / condensate systems
Responsibilities
  • Ensure compliance with all Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) requirements
  • Perform detailed engineering functions to deliver required designs
  • Collaborate with internal teams and project stakeholders to meet business, cost, and schedule targets
  • Work with Operations personnel to fully address design criteria and business needs
  • Accountable for developing constructible designs that meet agreed criteria with minimal field changes
  • Support establishing cost estimates and project schedules and adhere to approved budgets and timelines
  • Comply with the Project Quality Management System
  • Manage project scope, design, and plans to minimize changes, applying change control procedures when necessary
  • Ensure engineering work aligns with safety, environmental, operability, efficiency, and maintainability standards
Qualifications
  • Professional Engineer (P.Eng) registered with APEGA in Chemical Engineering or a related discipline
  • Minimum 10 years of relevant experience
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proven ability to work with urgency and adaptability in a dynamic environment
  • Legally entitled to work in Canada
