A regional health service provider is seeking a Primary Care Nurse in Prince George to provide comprehensive primary health care and support services for marginalized populations. The successful candidate will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, focus on health promotion, and assist clients in accessing necessary care. The Primary Care Nurse provides comprehensive primary health care to our patient population, supporting CSFS’s vision of integrated services, working collaboratively with multidisciplinary team members. Within the scope of practice of the Registered Nurses in British Columbia, the Primary Care Nurse will focus on health promotion, disease prevention, rehabilitative care, supportive care, administration, research, data management, and quality assurance. The Primary Care Nurse provides a vital link in the continuity of care between Nurse Practitioners and Community Health Nurses working with the teams, and providing follow-up/coordination support. The Primary Care Nurse also plays a vital role in assisting marginalized populations, including youth, to access care and connect unattached patients to a provider.

The target hiring range for this position is $44.58 –$57.72 per hour. Candidates will typically be hired, transferred or promoted between the minimum and midpoint of the wage range. Placement within the wage range is dependent on the applicant’s role-specific knowledge, skills, abilities, related experience and in consideration of factors such as market conditions and internal equity.
