Job Description

The Porter is responsible for setting up, tearing down, and transporting restaurant products before, during, and after service. This includes moving and arranging tables, chairs, decorations, and other items needed for the restaurant or events. The Porter maintains the organization and cleanliness of the restaurant during and outside business hours. Additionally, the Porter collaborates with the front-of-house team to ensure overall venue success, assisting with server duties as needed.

  • Prepare and set up the venue according to plans and guest requests, ensuring attention to detail
  • Ensure the venue is fully prepared for the next event, if required
  • Lead other staff members to ensure efficient and effective setup
  • Lift and move heavy and light objects safely and promptly
  • Tear down the venue after events and ensure it is clean and maintained to O&B standards
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the venue
  • Follow health and safety regulations
  • Receive and sign off on materials and shipments, notifying a manager of each
  • Perform additional duties as assigned
Qualifications

  • Availability to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and occasional overnight shifts
