Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 4:30 PM (hours may vary by location)

Start: Immediate / As early as next week

Pay Rate: Base on Experience

About the Opportunity

A leading healthcare services organization in British Columbia is urgently seeking experienced Phlebotomists to support high-volume clinics across the Interior and South Okanagan regions. This role is critical in maintaining patient flow, supporting clinical teams, and ensuring timely and accurate specimen collection in fast-paced environments.

This is a short-term contract opportunity with strong potential for longer-term engagement based on performance and operational needs.

Position: Phlebotomist
Role Overview

The Phlebotomist will be responsible for performing venipuncture and specimen collection while delivering a high standard of patient care. The ideal candidate is confident working independently, comfortable in high-volume clinical settings, and able to step in with minimal onboarding.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collection in accordance with clinical protocols
  • Verify patient identity and ensure proper labeling and handling of specimens
  • Prepare, process, and transport samples following safety and regulatory standards
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
  • Provide professional, compassionate patient interaction
  • Support clinic workflow and collaborate with clinical and administrative teams
  • Ensure compliance with privacy, infection control, and workplace safety guidelines
Qualifications
  • Certified or licensed Phlebotomist (as required by provincial or regulatory standards)
  • Minimum 1–2 years of recent hands‑on phlebotomy experience preferred
  • Strong knowledge of specimen handling, infection control, and safety procedures
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work efficiently in high-volume, fast‑paced clinic environments
