As a Pharmacy Assistant, you will be responsible for the packaging, distributing, shipping medications and the management and replenishment of medication inventory levels under the general supervision of Pharmacists and Pharmacy Technicians.

Required Qualifications

Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent.

Additional Required Qualifications

Familiarity with pharmaceutical products, with a basic understanding of inventory management and operations of unit dose repackaging equipment. Experience with Windows-based computer applications. Must be in good physical condition with the ability to stand for the duration of your shift, push/pull, bend/twist and lift up to 30 lbs. Must be fluent in the English language (written and verbal). Excellent communication, interpersonal and time management skills. Must be able to follow oral and written instructions. Good organizational, problem solving and decision‑making ability. Must display tact, courtesy, discretion and respect confidentiality. Must be accurate, reliable, precise, co‑operative, able to demonstrate effective service attitude, and self‑motivated. Must be able to work both independently and co‑operatively in a team environment. Must be able to adapt to new technologies and changing workflow patterns. An excellent attendance record, reliability and personal suitability must be demonstrated through your employment references.

Formal education from a pharmacy related program preferred.
