- Stable Schedule & Flexibility: Work 3 days per week, generally 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM (with some training days from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM). Once trained, your schedule will become consistent and predictable.
- No Retail Chaos: This role is entirely off the retail floor - no walk-ins - you’ll focus on meaningful, specialized work that directly supports patient care in a unique way
- Focus on Clinical Accuracy, Not Volume: You\'ll be involved in prescription verification, quality control, and final checks. Most of your time will be at a workstation or in light activity areas. No PPE required on the regular.
- No On-Call or Stat Holidays: Enjoy a consistent schedule with no on-call duties, no holiday shifts, and only occasional, voluntary Saturday coverage (just a few times a year, if any).

Responsibilities
- Reviewing and verifying prescriptions to ensure accuracy, appropriateness, and regulatory/internal compliance.
- Providing oversight of pharmacy workflow, supporting pharmacy technicians and coordinating day-to-day dispensing activities.
- Performing final product checks to ensure compounded therapies meet quality, sterility, and labeling requirements before release.
- Participating in end-of-day walkthroughs of the staging area when scheduled on late shifts.
- Collaborating with internal teams, including order entry and distribution staff, to maintain timely and accurate order fulfillment.
- Communicating with healthcare providers to clarify orders or provide updates, primarily via phone.
- Maintaining documentation in accordance with pharmacy regulations and internal policies.
- Contributing to continuous improvement efforts within the pharmacy team and supporting training of new staff if required.
- Upholding best practices in sterile compounding while working primarily in a non-PPE environment (minimal exposure to clean/staging rooms).
Qualifications
- An active pharmacist license in Alberta.
- Excellent verbal communication skills — phone communication is key as all clinical care is delivered virtually.
- A collaborative, team-focused approach with flexibility and adaptability.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritize workflow in a fast-paced, accuracy-critical environment.
- Comfort working primarily at a desk, with occasional standing during final product reviews.
