Qualifications

  • PSW certification or diploma is a must.
  • First Aid and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) level C Certificate required.
  • Police Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening (within 1 year) required.
  • 2 Steps of Tuberculosis (TB) Test and Immunizations must be up to date.
  • Access to a reliable vehicle is necessary.

Responsibilities

  • Provide personal care to clients.
  • Support clients to perform ADL’s including meal preparation and light housekeeping.
  • Assist clients in safe ambulation and transfer.
  • Promote client independence and provide psychological support.
  • Communicate clearly and timely with clients and stakeholders.
