Overview

LaRoche McDonald Agencies Limited, a member of the First Nations Insurance Group of Companies, is a small Saskatchewan based insurance agency offering full insurance services in personal, commercial and auto insurance coverages, including SGI Motor Vehicle Licensing. We have three offices, two located in Saskatoon and one in Prince Albert.

Position Overview

The Personal Line Insurance Broker is responsible for developing client relationships and providing customized insurance solutions. This role involves assessing risks, researching policy options, negotiating with underwriters, and ensuring client satisfaction. The ideal candidate will possess strong industry knowledge, excellent communication skills, and a proactive approach to client service.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement marketing initiatives to attract and retain clients.
• Conduct client meetings to assess insurance needs and provide recommendations.
• Negotiate with underwriters to secure optimal policy terms and pricing.
• Guide clients through the policy selection process and manage agreements.
• Provide risk management guidance and claims advisory support.
• Ensure policy renewals, updates, and adjustments are completed accurately.
• Maintain up-to-date client files and documentation in compliance with industry standards.
• Stay informed of industry trends, regulations, and new insurance products.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an Insurance Broker or in a similar role.
• Strong understanding of personal insurance products and policy options.
• Excellent negotiation and client service skills.
• Proficiency with insurance management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., CAIB 1, CAIB 2, or CIP) preferred.
