Job Summary
Home support worker required to take care of two seniors in their own residence. Candidate must be mature, honest, independent and reliable.
Responsibilities
- Care for the seniors is main priority.
- Assisting with all aspects of personal care.
- Providing support and assistance in balance and mobilization.
- Assist in activities of daily living.
- Accompany the seniors to doctor’s appointments.
- Organize activities and outings for the seniors.
- Prepare meals and light housekeeping for the patients.
- Maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home.
- Keep records of daily activities and health information regarding the seniors.
- Show compassion for the patients and passion for elderly care in all actions.
Experience and Qualifications
- Completion of the equivalent of the Canadian secondary school education.
- At least six months of Caregiver training or at least one year of full-time paid experience as a caregiver or in a related field or occupation in the past three years.
- First Aid Certificate or Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Certificate (or willing to take course upon employment).
- Able to speak, write and read English.
- Eligible to receive work permit in Canada.
- Reference required.
Work Location Information
Work in employer’s/client’s home. Relocation costs covered by employer.
Anticipated Start Date: January, 2026.
Terms of Employment
Work 30 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Days off: Saturday and Sunday. 2 weeks paid holidays, 30 minutes paid meal break, 5 days of paid sick leave.
Wage: $24.50 hourly.
