Job summary

A healthcare provider in Northern BC is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse for the Post Anesthetic Recovery department. The role includes providing nursing care, coordinating with patients, and participating in a comprehensive training program. Applicants need to be registered with the BC College of Nurses and Midwives and must commit to a program that prepares them for perianesthesia nursing. Qualifications

  • Registration with BC College of Nurses and Midwives as a practicing RN registrant.
  • Post diploma certification in operating room techniques and procedures.
  • Recent experience in O.R. and P.A.C.U. is desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Provide and co-ordinate nursing care in the Post Anesthetic Recovery department.
  • Scheduled on-call responsibilities for emergency surgery.
  • Complete the education program prior to working in the department.
