Qualifications

The Opportunity

As a People Services Partner, you will coach staff and leaders, support employee and labour relations, manage leave and attendance, and drive recruitment to make a meaningful impact on our hospital community.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management or related field, or an accredited diploma with experience
  • CHRP or candidacy preferred
  • Experience in workplace investigations, including harassment investigations; workplace investigations certificate preferred
  • Minimum of 3 years in HR providing independent employee and labour relations advice in a unionized setting
  • Proficiency in talent acquisition, with proven hiring success and strong candidate pipelines
  • Collaborative, communicative, integrity‑driven mindset with respect for diversity, equity, and inclusion
  • Strong client focus and ability to manage performance interventions
  • Self‑directed learner able to exercise independent decision‑making and problem‑solving
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and computer skills; familiarity with ATS, HRIS, and time‑attendance systems preferred
  • Ability to work autonomously while collaborating within a team and managing multiple priorities
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Provide proactive HR planning and advice to support operational and workforce objectives
  • Guide complex employee and labour relations issues, including collective agreement interpretation, grievance processes, and local negotiations
  • Conduct investigations into employee complaints and labour relations matters
  • Identify and design training in collaboration with Learning & Engagement on leadership and workforce topics
  • Support leaders with people‑services perspectives during budget meetings
  • Deliver outstanding customer service to employees and managers
  • Develop and implement recruitment strategies and oversee onboarding processes
  • Maintain the Attendance Support Program, ensuring compliance with policies and regulations

Wage: $49.27 to $58.51 per hour
