A leading educational institution in Metro Vancouver is seeking a Payroll Supervisor to oversee payroll administration for the Human Resources team. The ideal candidate will have a Payroll Compliance Professional (PCP) designation, three years of relevant union experience, and two years of supervisory experience. Responsibilities include scheduling, training team members, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. This position offers competitive salary increments as per the Collective Agreement.
We are currently seeking a Payroll Supervisor to join our Human Resources team.
The Payroll Supervisor is responsible for overseeing payroll administration and preparation, ensuring the payroll department meets operational needs by effectively allocating workloads, monitoring staff scheduling and leaves, and providing training to maintain a well‑equipped team for biweekly payroll processing. The role also maintains compliance with established payroll principles, collective agreements, best practices, and regulatory requirements such as Revenue Canada, Employment Standards, Pension Corporation, and WorkSafe BC. Additionally, the Supervisor will conduct system testing and ensure the accuracy of information required by IT and HRIS.
