Job Description
- Providing payroll‑related information and answering employees' questions
- Managing time‑keeping systems, electronically or manually collecting and reviewing timesheets
- Payable hours, commissions, bonuses, tax withholdings, and deductions are all calculated
- Creating and distributing earnings statements
- Paycheck distribution and management of direct deposits
- Keeping employee records
- Coordination with the human resources department to ensure accurate employee data
- Assisting the accounting department with administrative tasks
Requirements
- GED or high school diploma required.
- A degree in business administration, finance, or accounting would be advantageous.
- 2+ years of payroll office experience is required.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office and payroll software programs.
- Strong numerical skills and attention to detail are required.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent time management and organizational abilities.
- Knowledge of relevant legal regulations is required.
- Capable of prioritizing and multitasking effectively.
