About the opportunity…

As an integral part of the “we can do that” operation, this position is responsible to process and administer all payroll runs for both dealerships. Specifically:

  • process employees in the system, including onboarding, termination, leave of absence
  • process and administer weekly, bi-weekly, and/or monthly payroll
  • calculate payable hours, commissions, bonuses, tax withholdings, and deductions
  • manage electronic timekeeping systems, or manually collect and review timesheets
  • perform auditing of payroll inputting reports and registers to ensure accuracy; resolve errors as needed
  • prepare Records of Employment
  • perform year-end tasks including tax slips/forms and remitting government filings, as needed
  • process and administer Group Benefits
  • remit WSIB Remittances
About you…

Ideal candidates will have a strong background and proven experience in payroll administration , including:

  • 2 years of proven experience in accounting and payroll practices
  • University Degree or College Diploma in Accounting, Finance, and/or Payroll
  • proficiency in working with payroll and ERP systems (ie. CDK/Reynolds, Payworks, ADP)
  • comprehensive knowledge of the Federal and Provincial Tax Regulations
  • comprehensive knowledge of the Ontario Employment Standards Act
  • experience working with Microsoft Office, specifically Excel
  • ability to adapt to a changing environment and meet deadlines
  • ability to communicate professionally (verbally and written)
  • strong attention to detail, organized and strategic
  • ability to maintain professionalism
  • ability to work independently and with minimal supervision
  • self-motivated and driven with a passion for excellence in execution
