Position Title: Payroll Administrator

Type: In-Office | Full-Time

Seeking candidates open to permanent, temporary/contract settings in the Edmonton and surrounding areas.

Key Responsibilities
  • Payroll Processing:
    • Process weekly, bi-weekly, or semi-monthly payroll for hourly and salaried employees.
    • Ensure payroll accuracy and timeliness to support employee satisfaction and operational continuity.
  • Payroll Compliance & Administration:
    • Administer deductions, benefits, remittances, and payroll adjustments.
    • Maintain compliance with federal/provincial payroll legislation and internal policies.
  • Reporting & Systems Management:
    • Prepare payroll reports, assist with audits, and maintain accurate payroll records.
    • Use payroll systems such as Viewpoint, ADP, Ceridian, or similar to manage data and streamline processes.
  • Collaborating & Employee Support:
    • Respond to payroll inquiries and work closely with HR, Finance, and project teams.
    • Support payroll-related initiatives that enhance efficiency and overall employee experience.
Qualifications
  • Education & Experience:
    • Minimum 3 years of payroll experience, preferably in a high-volume or unionized environment.
    • PCP or NPI designation preferred.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Proficiency with payroll software (Viewpoint, ADP, Ceridian, or similar).
    • Strong understanding of payroll legislation, deductions, and reporting.
  • Key Competencies:
    • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
    • Strong communication, time management, and problem-solving abilities.
