Reporting to the Human Resources Supervisor, the Pay & Benefits Clerk is responsible for payroll and benefits administration under two (2) payroll systems and two (2) collective agreements. The incumbent will ensure that our employees are paid accurately and on time, while helping them navigate the ‘ins and outs’ of our benefits, insurance, and pension programs. The Pay & Benefits Clerk will also provide interpretation of the collective agreements, policies, and procedures to all employees of the Corporation.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS
  • Post secondary education in accounting and/or payroll with several years of payroll administration experience, or an equivalent combination of education and related experience may be considered.
  • Experience applying Federal and Provincial payroll regulations, benefits administration, employment standards and other related policies and acts in a corporate environment.
  • Experience providing complete, accurate and timely information and advice to team members (i.e., reports).
  • Experience entering data, reviewing, assessing, and processing documents ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office 365 (SharePoint, OneDrive, Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint) in a cloud-based environment.
  • Ability to pay close attention to detail and ensure fairness and consistent application of policies.
  • Ability to stay current with changes in regulations, policies, and computer payroll systems.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Experience with SAP and ADP computer payroll systems, is an asset.
  • Experience applying policies and processes within a unionized environment, is an asset.
  • Ability to communicate verbally in both official languages (French and English), is an asset.
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT
  • Must be legally entitled to work in Canada.
  • Valid driver’s license, access to a vehicle, and have the ability to travel within the Province of Manitoba as required.
SALARY

SALARY: $56,002 to $66,517 per annum
