Position Overview
Experience
  • One (1) year previous experience in registration is required or the successful completion of a recognized Health Access Admission course.
Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate)
  • Grade 12 with keyboarding speed of 55 wpm.
Certification/Licensure/Registration
  • Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) training requirements for this position shall be in accordance with the Employer policy.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Must be able to speak French at the predetermined linguistic level.
  • Medical terminology and previous experience operating a computer terminal is required.
  • Works within the Centre's core values, philosophy, vision, C.Q.I. goals, policies and procedures.
  • Good interpersonal communication skills.
  • Must be capable of functioning under stressful conditions.
  • Assumes responsibility for ongoing education and participates in professional activities for personal and professional growth.
Physical Requirements
  • Physical health to meet the requirements of the position.

This position requires a current satisfactory Criminal Records Check (including Vulnerable Sector Search), Child Abuse Registry Check and Adult Abuse Registry Check as conditions of employment. The successful candidate will be responsible for any service charges incurred. A security check is considered current if it was obtained no more than six (6) months prior to the start of employment.
