TELUS Health Retirement Consulting helps improve financial wellbeing and organizational resilience for employers, fiduciaries and plan participants. We are one of the largest pension plan administrators in Canada, serving over five million plan participants. Our Defined Benefits and Actuarial Services practice provides strategic guidance, expert analysis and risk management for retirement plans.

What You’ll Do…

  1. Client Relationship Management: be a trusted advisor, building and maintaining strong relationships with clients; understand their needs and provide tailored solutions.
  2. Business Development: drive growth by identifying new opportunities with existing and new clients, positioning TELUS Health as a market leader.
  3. Strategic Consulting: design and manage retirement plans, assess plan funding and risk, develop investment strategies, and navigate regulatory requirements, offering insights based on actuarial principles and industry trends.
  4. Team Leadership: lead engagement, mentor and provide technical guidance to team members, fostering collaboration and knowledge sharing.

You have…

  1. 15+ years of experience in pension plan consulting
  2. Professional actuarial designation such as FCIA, ASA or FSA
  3. Strong client relationship management up to C-suite based on a trusted advisor model
  4. Solid understanding of actuarial principles, financial markets, and industry developments and emerging trends
  5. Ability to identify new business opportunities, drive revenue growth, and meet budget and profitability targets
  6. Proven leadership and mentorship to team members, ensuring high-quality deliverables while fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment

  1. Ability to understand client needs, provide strategic guidance, and ensure client satisfaction
  2. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with deep understanding of mathematical models and statistical analysis
