Part-Time Worship Leader Location: Oakridge Church, Vancouver, BC (across from Oakridge Mall at 41st & Cambie) Compensation: range of $125–$175/week or average $33- $55 per hour.

Commitment: Sunday mornings + 1 to 1.75 hours prep during the week.

Position Summary: We are seeking someone relational who loves leading others to sing worshipfully and building up God’s people. This is a great opportunity for theological students or those who already have a job and want to supplement with meaningful service. Key Responsibilities:

1. During Sunday Service:

  • Lead 3 to 4 worship songs by singing and playing piano (2 contemporary songs, 1 well-known hymn plus a short tune before the gospel reading).
  • Foster an atmosphere of reverent, joyful, Spirit-led worship.
  • Guide and encourage the volunteer singers and musicians

2. Weekly Preparations from home (about 1 to 1.75 hrs):

  • collaborate in song selections with pastor, organize and communicate with team
  • add lyrics to the Sunday slide deck
  • prayerful

Other responsibilities

  • guide, build up, and communicate well with volunteer singers and staff.
  • maintain use of piano
