What You\u2019ll Be Doing On Overnight Shifts

As an overnight PSW with Home Instead, you will ensure safety, comfort, and peace of mind for clients while supporting their nighttime routines.

• Assisting with evening hygiene and bedtime routines.
• Providing overnight supervision, responding to needs as they arise.
• Supporting mobility, transfers, and toileting during the night.
• Performing light housekeeping tasks to maintain a restful environment.
• Offering companionship and reassurance if clients wake during the night.
• Documenting observations and reporting concerns to the care team.

What We\u2019re Looking For

• PSW certificate, nursing background, or equivalent caregiving experience.
• Access to reliable transportation.
• Experience in overnight or complex care preferred.
• Confidence supporting clients with dementia, cognitive decline, or limited mobility.
• Compassionate, patient, and dependable—especially in independent settings.
