A home care service provider in London, Ontario is seeking Overnight Care Professionals for awake shifts. This part-time position offers flexibility and a range of responsibilities including providing companionship, assisting with daily activities, and ensuring clients' safety and well-being. Ideal candidates will possess a valid driver's license and have prior caregiving experience. Salary ranges from $17.50 to $20.00 per hour. COVID-19 protocols are in place.

Job description

We are in need of OVERNIGHT Care Professionals. Our overnight shifts are AWAKE shifts.

Home Instead provides a variety of non-medical services that allow our clients to remain in their home and meet the challenges of aging with dignity, care and compassion.

Duties Include, But Are Not Limited To

• Companionship and conversation
• Light housekeeping tasks and meal preparation
• Medication and appointment reminders
• Assistance with grooming and bathing
• Assistance with toileting and incontinence issues
• Alzheimer’s Care – previous experience not necessary but is an asset. Skills training and ongoing training provided by Home Instead.

Requirements To Be a CARE Professional

• Ability to treat and care for community members and their property with dignity and respect
• Ability to communicate with clients in a friendly and congenial manner
• Complete a criminal background check, 2 professional and 2 personal references
• Possess a valid driver’s license and have a reliable vehicle.
• Driver’s abstract is required
• Possess a computer and a cell phone

• Caregiving in any capacity: 1 year (Preferred)
