Position Summary

The Outside Sales Representative is responsible for selling crane and/or rigging services to businesses and industrial or commercial establishments. This role involves building relationships with potential and existing customers, assisting with project proposals, estimating project costs (including materials, equipment, and labor), and supporting the sales and operations teams. The Outside Sales Representative will work closely with clients to understand project needs, ensure accurate proposals, and maintain strong customer relationships for long‑term business growth.

Essential Job Duties And Responsibilities
  • Actively contact leads and manage prospect lists to generate new business opportunities.
  • Cultivate and maintain positive relationships with new and existing customers, building a reliable customer base of recurring business.
  • Coordinate job walks and provide customers with bids/estimates, ensuring accurate project pricing and gathering all scope of work details.
  • Displays excellent communication skills including presentation, persuasion, and negotiation skills required in working with customers and including the ability to communicate effectively and remain calm and courteous under pressure.
  • Keep accurate records of customer interactions documented in company CRM.
  • Develop strong relationships with customers, business partners, operations management, and support staff to ensure project success.
  • Organize and manage projects, ensuring that work orders are accurate and contain all necessary details.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, target market areas, and competitive offerings through ongoing research and attending workshops, trade shows, and professional societies.
  • Actively participate in sales meetings and assist with collections/accounts receivables as needed.
Minimum Qualifications (Experience, Skills, And Education)
  • 3 to 10 years of proven sales and field experience in industrial or construction industries. Direct crane and rigging knowledge or experience in a related field is highly preferred.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical or higher education is a plus.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a solid understanding of sales techniques and project management.
  • Self‑motivated, goal‑oriented, and highly organized with excellent time management skills.
  • Ability to make decisions and solve problems with limited guidance.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to persuade and engage effectively with various audiences.
  • Basic proficiency in computer applications such as Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Professional demeanor with the ability to adapt to different customers and environments.
  • Valid & current driver’s license.
Pay:

$85k – $100k (Base + Commission)
