The Outside Parts Sales Representative will work out of the Goderich branch. Salary 65k with On-Target-Earnings (OTE) up to $100k.

Summary

As an Outside Parts Sales Representative, you will be responsible for selling heavy duty truck parts and components to existing customers, while also seeking out new potential customers. You will promote Altruck International Truck Centres’ various departments by delivering exceptional customer service to all that you encounter. You will spend most of your time on the road visiting customers, with a small percentage of your time spent in the office.

What you’ll do:
  • Sell heavy duty truck parts, components and service (maintenance and repairs) by interacting with established customers and developing new customer prospects.
  • Advise customers of product information and Company specials.
  • Keep up-to-date on all new products.
  • Ensure customer quotes are competitive and accurate.
  • Assist on the parts counter when required.
  • Operate a vehicle in a safe, courteous and efficient manner.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service to all that you encounter, give all customers consideration and respect, understand their needs, and consistently meet or exceed customer expectations.
  • Learn and maintain solid product knowledge on manufacturer-specific vehicles and manufacturer-specific rebate, finance and incentive programs.
  • Keep customers updated by phone as to the progress of their special orders.
  • Oversee the On Command connection systems at customers’ place of business.
  • Obtain leads for new and used truck sales, as well as Fieldworks equipment.
  • Complete the online training as assigned by International.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Working Conditions

The Outside Parts Sales Representative will alternate between sitting and standing for eight-and one-half hours per day. They will be required to drive vehicles to visit customers, as well as provide their drivers abstract annually or upon request by management. They will be required to use office equipment, such as a computer, fax machine and telephone. The Outside Parts Sales Representative will work mainly out of the premises, often driving to visit customers, or in the office preparing quotations. They will be required to assist with inventory count requirements, as well as when requested by their Manager.
