Overview

Dryden Fibre Canada is currently seeking an individual to join the Dryden Team. The City of Dryden is located on the North shoreline of the Wabigoon Chain of Lakes along the Trans-Canada Highway. It is located midway between Winnipeg, Manitoba and Thunder Bay, Ontario, and is surrounded by wilderness, lakes, and landscapes.

Responsibilities
  • Reporting to the Outage Coordinator, your role will be to plan, schedule and co-ordinate outage activities within the mill.
  • Ensure that job packages, equipment, material, and specs needed are readily available and that the various trades and/or contractors are properly coordinated for the outage activities.
  • Prepare work scopes and bidding packages.
  • Prepare the outage activity schedules and participate in outage readiness reviews and prioritization exercises as required.
  • Track, update, and maintain the outage activity schedules in MS Project.
  • Collect and consolidate KPIs, deviations and learnings related to outage activities and assist with identifying learnings for future outages.
  • Assist in site logistics activities in relation to outages.
Your profile / Qualifications
  • You will hold a Mechanical Journeyperson Certificate and/or have a Mechanical Engineering diploma/degree or equivalent.
  • You require a broad knowledge of the mechanical maintenance function.
  • You must be able to multi-task and work under pressure during outages.
  • You have a safety-oriented mindset with the desire to enforce and follow mill safety and environmental policies and procedures.
  • You possess excellent computer skills with computer-based maintenance software (SAP), and MS Office, including MS Project.
