An international development organization is seeking a volunteer to conduct assessments of Envirocare’s operations in Tanzania. The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree, strong skills in sustainable business practices, and a passion for social change. Responsibilities include designing business models for long-term sustainability and conducting a comprehensive assessment of financial practices.
This Volunteer Placement is located in Iringa, Tanzania. Start Date: December 2025. Placement Length: 6 months with the possibility of extension. Language Requirements: English Level 5 - Fluent. Eligibility: Open to Canadian Citizens and Permanent Residents of Canada only.

Cuso International — Cuso International is an international cooperation and development organization that works to create economic and social opportunities for marginalized groups. Project — Sharing Canadian Expertise for Inclusive Development and Gender Equality (SHARE) — Cuso International will deliver the SHARE project with support from Global Affairs Canada (GAC) over seven years (2020-2027). SHARE aims to improve the economic and/or social well-being of the poorest, most marginalized and vulnerable people, particularly women and girls, in developing countries, contributing to the Sustainable Development Goals. In addition to increasing Canadian engagement in international development, the project seeks to improve partner performance toward inclusive, innovative, and environmentally sustainable development that advances gender equality.

Environmental, Human Rights Care & Gender Organisation (ENVIROCARE) is a non-governmental, non-partisan, non-profit organization advocating for environmental justice, human rights, and gender equality and equity.
Terms and Conditions — Cuso International’s terms and conditions support a modest, locally aligned lifestyle. This package covers basic living expenses for one volunteer and does not cover home-based expenses or luxury items.

Pre-placement Training — Skills and Knowledge for Working in Development (SKWID) will help you prepare. You will have a Volunteering Mobilization Advisor (VMA) for support and access to self-directed briefing documents and online training through the volunteer portal.
Protection from Sexual Exploitation and Abuse
Cuso International upholds the highest standards of ethical conduct. All volunteers must agree to the Child Protection, Prevention of Workplace Violence, Prevention of Workplace Harassment and Discrimination, and Prevention of Sexual Exploitation and Abuse Policies and Code of Conduct.
Most applicants are based in Canada during the application and pre-placement phases. Leaving your country may impact citizenship status. Canadian Permanent Residents should arrange with immigration authorities before travel to avoid residency risks.
