Job description

Optometrist - Full-time - Private Practice with Loyal Patient Base - Calgary, AB

*Upcominggraduates and experienced optometrists are encouraged to apply!

Our full-scope practice is looking to add a team member to the family! We are a unique practice to this and nearby areas, combining premium eyecare medical services with highly fashionable frames. We are just as medically oriented as any other practice, and our patients don’t look elsewhere for eyewear that matches their style. We are looking for a Full-Time Optometrist to join the practice!

What You’ll Need:

  • Doctor of Optometry (O.D.) Degree (or pending)
  • Valid license to practice optometry (or pending)
  • Myopia training is a plus!
  • Our ideal candidate is caring and considerate to all patients, enjoys working with people from all walks of life, and is passionate about eyecare!

Why Work Here?

Exposure: You will gain exposure to a wide range of eye care and vision needs in our full-scope practice with an emphasis on medical optometry. We really take care of all patients and not just primary care. As an OD in our practice, you are only doing eye exams without having to worry about sales–the staff is already well-trained to pick up sales from OD recommendations on lenses and frame types.

Environment: Our new OD will always have a robust team supporting them every day. There is one other OD at the practice currently for our 4 exam rooms, so more ODs will be joining the team as well. The ODs will have dedicated optometric assistants to handle all the pre-testing. Likewise, you will have everything you need to be successful with our state-of-the-art technology, including all the pre-testing equipment, OCT, tonometer, visual field, and everything you need to practice full-scope care!

Schedule:We value work-life balance - which means our schedule hasno weekends and no nights! We are very flexible with our scheduling, however, so if our new OD would like an earlier morning we can accommodate that! We schedule the number of patients that our ODs feel comfortable seeing–some ODs see 2 some see 3 to 4. Our focus is to give patients full-quality care!

Compensation & Benefits:

We offer a competitive salary. Additionally, we will cover all the moving expenses for anyone who moves to this area, recruiting fees for your spouse so they can find a job, and costs for some of children’s schooling .
