Job description

FYidoctors Bedford - Nine Mile is seeking an Optician for a full‑time role. This team member will work a schedule of 30–40 hours per week, Monday to Saturday.

The Optician will be responsible for the retail and repair of eyewear products as well as follow‑up patient care and has at least one year of previous optical experience. Join us in advancing eye health and enhancing the lives of our patients in a dynamic and rewarding environment.

What Will You Be Doing?
  • Educating clients about the best eyewear choices for their lifestyle
  • Assisting with selection of frames to suit patient’s aesthetic and performance needs
  • Performing eyewear repairs and adjustments
  • Contributing to clinic retail sales goals
  • Upholding excellent customer service standards
What Do You Bring?
  • Minimum one year of experience in an optical environment
  • Registered Optician / Contact Lens Fitter in Nova Scotia
  • Willingness to learn how to counsel patients on dry eye disease and treatment (Hands‑on training in dry eye assessments and IPL treatment administration)
  • Passion for providing exceptional patient care
  • Commitment to excelling as a member of a high performing team
  • Ability to multi‑task in a fast‑paced environment
  • Good computer knowledge, including Microsoft Office Suite
