Work Location Type: Onsite at any WFS location (London, Sarnia, Windsor, Leamington, ON)

Position Summary

The Online Content Analyst assumes responsibility for the execution of tactics designed to optimize and enrich the representation of products for WFS on wfsltd.ca. The Online Content Analyst will work closely with Marketing, PIM, IT, and the Grainger e-commerce team, to execute the day-to-day operations of online merchandising and taxonomy management along with curation of data within the PIM Platform for the WFS business.

Key Duties and Responsibilities
  • Maintains and optimizes the online product hierarchy.
  • Manipulate large data sets using SQL, Excel, Power BI etc.
  • Web site scraping
  • AI Tool management
  • Ensures online hierarchy efforts are aligned with efforts from several key internal business partners, including Online Merchandising and Product Management
  • Determines the optimal way to group and merchandise like products for display online; executes and maintains the online grouping strategy.
  • Conducts competitive price scrapes.
  • Partners with product management team members to enforce the consistency of the online product representation, focusing on but not limited to:
  • Curation and ongoing Management of Product descriptions
  • Curation of Product hierarchy and categorization, technical attribute selection & population, Category product images, Additional product meta data, Supplier MAPP compliance
  • Implementation of seasonal and promotional programs
  • Assists in the testing and integration of new online and offline features and functionality.
  • Manage all Analytics platforms to pull extracts for web and merchandising product data and hierarchy data based on ad hoc requests to support team members of the e-commerce and PIM teams.
Required Experience and Qualifications
  • 2-3 years of experience in a large, multi-channel organization is a must, with 2-3 years of related e-commerce, content management, & design experience
  • Advanced experience with Product Information Management (PIM)
  • Strong understanding of Adobe Creative Cloud products (Photoshop, InDesign, etc.)
  • Previous portfolio of work to showcase
  • Experience collecting and managing product-related digital assets (product imagery, PDF documentation, etc.)
  • Experience with HTML, CSS and Microsoft Office Excel
  • Experience with the interpretation and analysis of web analytics
  • Programming knowledge (php, python, javascript, etc.) is an asset
  • SQL understanding / basic query statements is an asset
  • Working knowledge of Magento eCommerce Infrastructure, & Magento templating is an asset
  • High-level knowledge of the MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Operations) industry and industrial products is an asset
