A large independent charitable hospital in Canada is seeking a Junior Sister/Charge Nurse for its Oncology Inpatients ward. This full-time role involves acting as Nurse in Charge, delivering expert nursing care to cancer patients, and managing oncology treatments. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience in oncology nursing and the necessary qualifications. The postholder will enable clinical effectiveness by acting as a resource for junior staff, contribute to the development of oncology nursing services, participate in audit and service improvement initiatives and work collaboratively with all members of the core and wider multi‑disciplinary team to ensure seamless, high‑quality, patient‑centred care.
The post holder is a key clinical leader and role model in the inpatient oncology ward. They deputise for the Ward Manager in their absence and routinely act as the Nurse in Charge of shifts. The postholder provides expert nursing care to patients undergoing treatment for cancer, including direct administration of systemic anti‑cancer therapy and optimal management of disease‑ and treatment‑related symptoms and side effects.

Hours: Full‑time 37.5 h per week (rotating days, nights, weekends)
Contract: Permanent
Salary: £49,133 – £60,067 (dependent on experience)
We are recruiting a Junior Sister/Charge Nurse to join our Oncology Inpatients ward. This key clinical leadership role supports the Ward Manager and routinely acts as Nurse in Charge of shifts. You will deliver high‑quality oncology nursing care to patients undergoing cancer treatment, managing acute oncological presentations, administering systemic anti‑cancer therapy and providing compassionate end‑of‑life care. You will be a visible clinical leader, supporting junior staff, contributing to service development and working closely with a multidisciplinary team to ensure safe, effective, patient‑centred care.
