Job summary

A leading research university in Canada is seeking a Journeyperson Millwright to support the maintenance of various mechanical systems on campus. The ideal candidate will demonstrate extensive experience in millwright tasks within institutional settings, along with strong problem-solving skills. This position requires lifting heavy objects and working in varied environments. A Red Seal Journeyperson Certificate is essential. The salary ranges from $28.72 to $44.39 per hour, commensurate with education and experience.

Qualifications

• Three to five years of experience as a journeyperson millwright in an institutional or industrial environment.
• Demonstrated work order management skills and familiarity with work management systems.
• Formal training in preventative, diagnostic maintenance programs or PM implementation is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support maintenance of mechanical components and systems on campus.
• Conduct inspections, testing, repairs, and adjustments for mechanical systems.
• Service, troubleshoot, and maintain equipment such as pumps and motors.
