A non-profit organization in Manitoba is seeking a full-time Occupational Therapist for an 18-month term position. The role involves working with adults with developmental disabilities and Autism, focusing on enhancing their quality of life through personalized interventions. Candidates must have a degree in Occupational Therapy and maintain licensure in Manitoba. Excellent communication skills and the ability to adapt to individual needs are essential. St.Amant is fully accredited and offers outreach and residential services to individuals with developmental disabilities and Autism. St.Amant utilizes an interdisciplinary team approach, drawing on a full range of professional services, to assist individuals to achieve and maintain optimal levels of personal development and independence.
As an active member in Clinical Services, the Occupational Therapist participates in the assessment development and implementation of solutions to improve people’s quality of life and increase independence.
This OT position will be working with adults living in the community with the diagnosis of developmental disabilities or Autism. Travelling will be required in Winnipeg and neighbouring Manitoba communities. OT supports a person-centred and family centred approach to service. Consultative services are provided. OT promotes processes which support self-determination and the development of skills and competencies of individuals and care providers. The OT is responsible for the evaluation, effectiveness and efficiency of interventions to ensure outcomes that are positive and beneficial to clients
