Are you a passionate Occupational Therapist-Hand Therapist dedicated to enhancing the health and well-being of Canadians? At Lifemark, your work makes a real difference—expanding access to care and creating lasting impact in the communities you serve.

About Lifemark Physiotherapy Vancouver Broadway Clinic, located in Vancouver, British Columbia.

Our Lifemark Physiotherapy Vancouver Broadway clinic is located at the foot of the Commercial-Broadway Skytrain station. It is easily accessible by transit as it is only a one-minute walk from the skytrain station and local bus stop. Our team is a multidisciplinary team of clinicians - physiotherapists, registered massage therapists, certified hand therapists, and occupational therapists, providing rehabilitation treatments and services with a gym complete with bicycle, shuttle, mechanical traction, free weights, and functional training equipment for our clients.

We are seeking an Occupational Therapist (OT) with specialization in Hand Therapy who is passionate about assisting those impacted by head injury through their individual recovery process. As an OT in our Post Concussion Management Program/Early Concussion Assessment and Treatment Program, you will play a key role in assessing and treating clients who have sustained concussions and are experiencing persistent symptoms. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to deliver comprehensive, individualized care that supports recovery and successful return to work and daily function. In addition to working with the concussion programs, you will have the opportunity to participate in other work streams such as FCEs, Community OT services and Veterans Rehabilitation services.

Your impact

Our OTs provide both individual and program-based treatments and assessments for individuals recovering from motor vehicle accidents and workplace injuries. They also play a pivotal role in supporting veterans, Canadian Armed Forces members, first responders, and individuals facing physical, cognitive and mental wellness goals. In this role, you will:

  • Provide comprehensive, evidence-based Occupational Therapy services to clients focused on the Cognitive, Emotional, and Functional impacts of concussion.
  • Apply clinical expertise and professional competence in the assessment, intervention, consultation, case management, discharge planning, education, and follow-up of clients
  • Perform clinical evaluations, including admission assessments, ADL assessments, specialized seating and positioning assessments
  • Identification of appropriate equipment needs with initial recommendations
  • Consult with local vendors regarding equipment trials and complete applications/funding letters to the Ministry of Health, insurance agencies and other funding parties
  • Provide education on seating and positioning, independence with activities of daily living, wheelchairs and adaptive aids, as well as providing ongoing education to clients and family to improve function, independence and safety
  • Provide ongoing evaluation of restraint use, wound prevention, falls, and injury prevention.
  • Record assessment and treatment interventions in the client's chart
  • Excel in a collaborative, interdisciplinary team environment
  • Exhibit sound professional judgment
Are you the right fit?

As one of the largest networks of OTs in the nation, you will work within a supportive, multidisciplinary environment, delivering high-quality, client-centred care across multiple clinics or a specific clinic and community settings. Key skills and qualifications include:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Knowledge of current Occupational Therapy standards, modalities and scope of practice; or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
  • Registered and in good standing with the College of Health and Care Professionals of British Columbia.
  • 1-3 years of experience as an Occupational Therapist or Physiotherapist with specialization in Hand Therapy is preferred.
  • Newly Licensed Hand Therapy OT/PT Graduates are accepted.
  • Previous experience supporting WorkSafe BC, Canadian Veterans, ICBC, long-term disability, and referrals is a plus.
Other Requirements:
  • Clinical experience is an asset in areas such as brain injury/neurological rehabilitation, mental health, musculoskeletal/orthopedic injury, home safety, ergonomics and/or return to work.
  • Passion for your profession and commitment to ongoing professional development
  • Superior interpersonal relations, communication, problem-solving, time management, computer and documentation skills
  • Proficiency in computer skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively as a member of a multidisciplinary team
  • Proficiency in computer skills.
