Summary

The Oasis Program is a group program running once a week on Thursdays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. to provide support to individuals living with a life‑threatening illness, allowing them to relax and socialize with people in similar circumstances.

What You’ll Be Doing

Oasis Program Assistants aid in the running of the program by engaging and supporting clients in conversation, activities, coffee/tea, and lunch. Volunteers provide support and care to individuals with a terminal illness, respecting people from diverse backgrounds, values, beliefs, and life circumstances.

Responsibilities
  • Engage in conversations with clients in a welcoming environment.
  • Assist with the preparation and running of activities for clients.
  • Greet clients as they arrive.
  • Provide one‑to‑one support to clients engaged in activities as needed.
  • Assist with set up and clean up for lunch and snacks.
Requirements
