Job description
Position Summary

Northern Health is looking for an experienced, highly efficient, and self-directed permanent part time Nursing Unit Clerk to support the Internal Medical Unit department.

Under general supervision, reporting to the Manager or designate, this role performs clerical functions related to the work of a nursing unit. Nursing Unit Clerk certification is required for this position.

Shift Rotation / Hours of Work

Days, Evenings, 09:00 to 17:00, 16:00 to 21:00 (Rotating).

About University Hospital of Northern BC (UHNBC)

UHNBC is the largest Acute Care facility within the Northern Health region and a hub for specialized health services. It is a teaching hospital and supports undergraduate physician training through the Northern Medical Program, residency programs, and clinical education for nursing and health sciences students across several institutions. UHNBC has undergone major expansions and offers facilities including an expanded emergency room, updated ICU, a state-of-the-art maternal-child care centre, an MRI unit, and an oncology centre. A new Acute Care Tower is planned to open in winter 2031, expanding state-of-the-art care in Northern BC.

Qualifications

Grade 12, medical terminology and graduation from a recognized Nursing Unit Clerk program plus one year's recent, related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
