Overview

Position: NURSING SCHEDLING CLERK
Status: Full-Time. Permanent
Schedule: Day shifts (8am-4pm)
Location (Home): Heartwood LTC, Cornwall, ON

At Southbridge Care Homes, we believe in providing exceptional care and service to our residents, families, and team members. We are currently seeking a dedicated and organized Nursing Scheduling Clerk to join our team at Heartwood and help create a supportive and welcoming environment.

About The Role

Reporting to the Director of Care, the Nursing Scheduling Clerk plays a key role in ensuring smooth administrative operations within the home. You will demonstrate excellent communication skills, a positive approach to customer service, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional customer service to residents, families, visitors, service providers, and staff.
  • Support Human Resources functions, including staffing and scheduling (with a focus on Nursing and other departments).
  • Understand and apply collective agreement provisions while maintaining positive staff relations.
  • Perform general clerical duties: records management, typing, creating reports, handling phone calls, and more.
  • Uphold privacy and confidentiality standards at all times.
  • Maintain compliance with Occupational Health & Safety legislation and company policies, including safe work practices and proper equipment use.
  • Actively participate in occupational health and safety training.
  • Ensure resident and family safety by performing duties in line with standards, legislation, and company policies.
Qualifications
  • Secondary School Diploma.
  • 1-year Community College diploma or certificate in business or a related field.
Technical Competencies
  • Knowledge of basic payroll principles (an asset).
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Minimum typing speed of 60 wpm.
  • Ability to operate office equipment efficiently.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
