A leading healthcare provider in Calgary is seeking a dedicated Health Care Aide to join its team. In this temporary part-time role, you will provide ongoing care, deliver medications, and support clients in a rehabilitative environment. Reporting directly to the Client Service Manager, the Health Care Aide (HCA) is an unregulated member of the interprofessional health care team who provides on-going client care. The HCA observes, monitors and reports on client status/condition including changes in physical and emotional status. The HCA ensures that changes in client status are reported to the Registered Nurse (RN) and/or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).
This position delivers prescribed medications accurately as per policy and procedure. In keeping with Carewest’s Frame of Reference, Philosophy of Care and Carewest policies this position maintains professional and ethical standards at all times. Responsible for other related duties as required.
Rehabilitation and Community Transition Program (RCTP) – a short-stay restorative care program that supports medically stable adults who do not need an acute-care level of service, but may require additional assessment, recuperation, and therapy before returning to the community.

Successful applicants not currently working for Carewest will need to provide a suitable police records check and vulnerable sector screen.
