Job description
Overview

A Radiology diagnostic imaging client is hiring a Team Lead for their Nuclear Medicine and Radiation Department. They are looking for a skilled team lead to lead their Nuclear Medicine Department. The technologist will work as the working supervisor of the Nuclear Medicine team, performing general Nuclear Medicine and Nuclear Cardiology procedures in accordance with CMRITO Standards of Practice and radiation safety principles.

Responsibilities
  • Serve as working supervisor of the Nuclear Medicine team and perform general Nuclear Medicine and Nuclear Cardiology procedures independently and proficiently.
  • As the Radiation Safety Officer (RSO), supervise and manage all aspects of the radiation safety program and act as the primary contact for The Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission (CNSC).
  • Directly manage the Nuclear Medicine team, coordinate Nuclear Medicine operations, and assist in growing and leading the expansion of the Nuclear Medicine department.
  • Act as the site manager for the Innisfil Clinic as part of the leadership team.
  • Manage a Nuclear Medicine team of three Nuclear Medicine Technologists.
Qualifications
  • Active registration with the CMRIT in Nuclear Medicine required
  • Registration with CAMRT / OAMRS preferred
  • Minimum 2 years or clinical experience in Nuclear Medicine preferred
  • Active Professional Liability Insurance
  • Satisfactory criminal record check
  • Certified as a Radiation Safety Officer (RSO), or willing to obtain with the next 6 months
  • Current Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) certificate preferred
  • Capable leadership skills
  • Ability to communicate with a high level of professionalism in interpersonal relations
  • Strong organizational skills with ability to prioritize; work under pressure and show flexibility
  • Must have strong independent decision-making skills with a high level of initiate e
  • Discretion and maturity in handling confidential matters
  • Demonstrated computer knowledge and proficiency with PACS
