Job description

Requirements

  • Have a contagious, positive, enthusiastic attitude.
  • Leadership and/or event planning experience.
  • A clean driver’s abstract showing 3 years of records, approved by ICBC.
  • Class 2 bus driver’s license with air brakes endorsement (training can be provided).
  • Ski or snowboard instruction experience; CSIA or CASI certification preferred.
  • Good knowledge of the Fernie area.
  • Post-secondary education.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft computer applications.
  • A Canadian work permit, residency, or citizenship.

You will receive a free season’s pass and get ski breaks. Staff accommodation is available.

Duties

  • Be the friendly face of Nonstop and the main go-to person for your clients. Give group announcements and be their role model for our mandate: a cultural immersion into Canadian mountain life.
  • Get to know up to 100 clients at daily meals and by dropping in on lessons and outings.
  • Lead and coordinate midweek activities, workshops, and take them on weekend outings.
  • Drive clients in a full-size school bus.
  • Help with issues and emergencies.
  • Organize programming using computers, meetings with suppliers, and posting notices to the group.
