BGC Okanagan is hiring!
We’re looking for a compassionate, engaging Nobody’s Perfect Parenting Facilitator to lead weekly parent group sessions in the South Okanagan. In this 8-week, part-time role, you’ll create a supportive space where parents can connect, share, and build confidence. If you’re passionate about strengthening families and guiding meaningful conversations, this is a fantastic opportunity to make a real impact. This part-time, term position will last for eight (8) weeks, with one session held per week.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Conduct group sessions such as workshops and courses to support skill acquisition and build on current skills in parenting.
  • Recruit and select participants for the program based on their skills and needs.
  • Plan group sessions in accordance with the program manual or guidelines and the participants’ skills and needs. Prepare for group sessions by reviewing program manuals and other related materials.
  • Set up workshop space and childcare space prior to session start date.
  • Promote the program by performing duties such as distributing brochures and posters in the community and making presentations to community organizations.
  • Ensure that the necessary facilities, equipment and materials are available for the sessions.
  • Conduct evaluation and obtain client feedback on group effectiveness, materials presented and facilitation style. Report any difficulties to the supervisor.
  • Maintain contact with clients between sessions to provide follow-up support, if necessary, such as reviewing course materials and clients’ needs.
  • Maintain related records and reports in accordance with established policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
  • Certificate in a related human/social service field and/or one year of related experience.
  • Trained in Nobody’s Perfect Parenting Facilitation, or willing to attend training.
  • First Aid Certificate and Food Safe an asset or willingness to obtain.
  • Must be at least 19 years of age as per Provincial Licensing Regulations.
  • Successful completion of Agency screening process, including criminal record check.
Please Note:
  • This position is open to all applicants.
  • This position requires union membership.
  • BGC will provide NPP training for the right fit.

Hours: 8 weeks, 8 hours per week, totaling 64 hours

Rate of Pay: $25.55 per hour
