General Tasks
Opportunity to perform some of the following tasks based on capability and production needs:
- Sheet Metal
- Offloading and loading sheet metal pieces into the production line
- Prepare skids, including offloading and loading
- Forklift operation
- Read and understand sheet metal layout drawings
- Electrical
- Basic mechanical troubleshooting and general machine maintenance
Skills/Physical Requirements
- Production or general labor experience (an asset)
- Previous experience with automated sheet metal equipment
- Previous experience with CNC operation or a punch machine
- Basic computer literacy
- Able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
- Standing for long periods of time in a busy production environment
Shift
- This position is for an evening/night shift from 4:00 pm to 02:30 am, Monday to Thursday, and a shorter shift schedule for Friday. An initial training period will include day shifts for a few weeks, transitioning to afternoon shifts, which will begin around 12:00 pm. It will be approximately 3 months before the full evening/night shift is expected to be scheduled.
- Typical schedule is up to 44 hours/week, including occasional Saturday shifts. Schedule may change depending on business needs.
