ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Generates and distributes night audit reports
- Demonstrates a complete understanding of auditing
- Registers the day's transactions and corrects all errors
- Ensures all credit cards are balanced daily with our PMS
- Ensures all market codes correspond to correct rates before posting room and tax
- Balances all Food and Beverage outlets, verifies all credit cards and room charges posted
- Balances the market code and house count
- Responds to internal and external guests requests
- Responsible for maintaining high and consistent level of Guest Services
- Acknowledges guest complaints and ensures guests needs are met
- Executes guest check-ins, check-outs and reservations
- Answers telephone calls and guest inquiries
- Completion of various daily reports, posting changes and managing personal float
- Balances individual cashier audits, including credit card and cash transactions
- Familiar with all Health & Safety, fire and emergency procedures
- Completes daily task lists
- Ensures inter-departmental communication and co-operation in the interest of guest satisfaction
- Supports other Front Office functions, such as Reservations and Lobby Services as required
- Follows up and communicates pertinent guest related facts to colleagues and superiors
- Participates in monthly communication meetings, committees and projects as required
- Understands all programs offered, including marketing and strategic partnerships with other organizations
- Able to inform guests about all hotel facilities and hotel history
- Maintains a high standard of personal hygiene, dress, uniform and body language
- Be polite and professional in any situation where the image of the hotel is represented
- Additional duties as assigned
SPECIFIC JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- SMS and Microsoft Office knowledge an asset
- Previous Hotel experience required
- Excellent command of the English language both oral and written
- Demonstrate customer service ethic and have a friendly and outgoing disposition
- Proven abilities in handling guest requests with effective resolutions
- Well developed communication and organization skills with abilities to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent computational and analytical abilities and keen attention to detail
- Ability to work with limited supervision
- An enthusiastic, self directed, team player with high level of adaptability to rapidly changing demands
RATE
- Starting Rate : $25.68 / hr
- HOURS : Must be able to work overnight shifts (11pm-7am)
- After Probation : $28.98 / hr
- Plus $1.00 overnight premium
Job Types : Part-time, Permanent
Pay : $27.98-$28.98 per hour
