Job summary

A leading professional services firm located in Toronto, Ontario is seeking an experienced tax professional to act as a resource for tax practitioners, develop training materials, and support project management initiatives. The ideal candidate will have CPA designation or a Master of Taxation and 3–5 years of experience in a professional services environment. Responsibilities
  • Work with the National Tax team to serve as a resource to tax practitioners on new legislative matters; review and analyze new and amended legislation with a focus on understanding and communicating the impact to the firm’s clients, processes and policies.
  • Play a key role in the development of various internal and external tax articles.
  • Collaborate with the Learning & Development team to develop tax training materials, with opportunities to deliver these presentations.
  • Work with team members in the development of tools, templates and models to assist the Tax Service Line in servicing their clients.
  • Help manage key tax technologies including Taxprep.
  • Assist with the exploration, evaluation and implementation of new tax technologies.
  • Proactively aid in standardizing processes and sharing best practices for the delivery of tax services across the country.
  • Assist with risk management initiatives relating to tax services.
  • Coordinate with other teams to manage various projects and implement initiatives.
  • Support the development of tax technical planning and advisory opportunities for tax practitioners.
  • Motivate, coach, and develop National Tax team members.

Qualifications
  • A CPA designation, Master of Taxation, or near completion of CPA Canada’s In‑Depth Tax Program.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience within a professional services environment.
  • Post‑secondary education in a related field.
  • Experience using Taxprep or equivalent software (e.g., Profile or TaxCycle).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
