Responsibilities
- Work with the National Tax team to serve as a resource to tax practitioners on new legislative matters; review and analyze new and amended legislation with a focus on understanding and communicating the impact to the firm’s clients, processes and policies.
- Play a key role in the development of various internal and external tax articles.
- Collaborate with the Learning & Development team to develop tax training materials, with opportunities to deliver these presentations.
- Work with team members in the development of tools, templates and models to assist the Tax Service Line in servicing their clients.
- Help manage key tax technologies including Taxprep.
- Assist with the exploration, evaluation and implementation of new tax technologies.
- Proactively aid in standardizing processes and sharing best practices for the delivery of tax services across the country.
- Assist with risk management initiatives relating to tax services.
- Coordinate with other teams to manage various projects and implement initiatives.
- Support the development of tax technical planning and advisory opportunities for tax practitioners.
- Motivate, coach, and develop National Tax team members.

Qualifications
- A CPA designation, Master of Taxation, or near completion of CPA Canada’s In‑Depth Tax Program.
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience within a professional services environment.
- Post‑secondary education in a related field.
- Experience using Taxprep or equivalent software (e.g., Profile or TaxCycle).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Takes ownership of tasks and proactively advances tasks and projects.
- Proven problem solving and critical thinking skills.
- Strong ability to quickly understand new concepts and technologies.
- Works well as part of a team and focuses on collaboration and cooperation.
- Strong commitment to professional and client service excellence.
- Interest in coaching and development, with a commitment to personal growth.
