What You’ll be Doing:
  • Assist in the planning, preparation, delivery and evaluation of public and educational programming for temporary and permanent exhibitions.
  • Assist with organizing key summer special events.
  • Enhance education kits.
  • Perform other similar and related tasks.
What’s Required:
  • Enrolled in full-time, post-secondary studies in the field of concurrent education, political science, visual arts, history, geography, child & youth studies or museum studies and returning to full-time studies in the fall, supporting confirmation letter from your Registrar’s Office will be required.
  • Must be eligible to work in Canada, be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident and be between the ages of 16-30 years.
  • Experience in education and/or event planning is an asset.
  • Familiarity with public and educational programming in a museum setting is an asset.
  • Good organization and project management skills.
  • Effective written and verbal communication.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Excellent volunteer and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven research skills.
  • Efficient problem solving skills.
  • Advanced computer skills.
  • Self-motivated, as well as the ability to work in a group.
